This is an older type (lower tech version) of Automat seen in many stations with only regional service, as well as side by side with the newer touch screen models. This Automat only sells ticket from the station you are in to other stations. With this type of Automat, you select the type of ticket (single ride, Länder-Ticket, etc) from the columns of buttons and find your destination station on the shield on the left. Input the station number with the keypad. Only after the price is displayed on the screen do you insert your money or your credit card. If you try to insert your card before the amount is displayed, it will be returned. If you are using a card, you will get two printings. The first will be a credit card receipt. Then the ticket will be printed. Don't leave without the ticket.
